SPATIAL ORGANIZATION

The workbooks and worksheets in this series are designed to encourage the development of spatial concepts such as distance, proximity and direction. Individual tasks include connecting dots with lines, connecting dots in grids, drawing loops in grids, etc.

Drawing lines between the dots promotes the acquisition of skills that later play an important role in the development of writing, drawing and other important graphomotor and fine-motor skills. Tasks in which children search for the shortest distance between different dots and change the direction of drawing encourage visual discrimination and contribute to the development of micro-movement perception and kinesthetic awareness.

workbook 5.1

Connecting dots:
lines

Number of worksheets: 106

Activities in this workbook are designed for strengthening visual-motor integration and basic graphomotor skills by asking children to connect two or multiple dots set in a limited space.

Tasks range from easier to more complex and difficult ones, their difficulty being increased in three ways: (a) by increasing number of dots in a series from two dots upwards, (b) by increasing distance between dots, (c) by increasing angles between lines to be drawn between dots.

workbook 5.2

Connecting dots:
patterns

Number of worksheets: 84

Activities in this workbook are designed for strengthening visual-motor integration and basic graphomotor skills by asking children to copy patterns in grids. When a child draws a line from one to another dot his or her eyes follow the evolving line and simultaneously compare it with the original pattern.

Tasks range from easier to more complex and difficult patterns.
