Why tracing activities are important

Tracing activities stimulate child’s eye - hand coordination and visual-motor integration. When children follow dotted lines or other kind of lines with pencils or with another drawing tools, they simultaneously follow and compare their evolving lines with original ones. This process strengthen visual-motor integration and fine-motor hand and fingers movements control.

Tracing activities stimulate acquisition of basic graphomotor, fine-motor and pre-writing skills and competences which later play important role in development of writing and other important skills.

Worksheets and activities in this workbook

Workbook contains 134 worksheets designed for strengthening children’s visual-motor integration and basic graphomotor skills by asking children to trace dotted or dashed triangles. Template triangles differ in size. In some activities dotted triangles are accompanied with outer or inner triangles intended to help children while drawing.

Activities and tasks difficulty increase throughout the workbook by decreasing size of triangles and complexity of their arrangement.
