Why channeling activities are important

In chanelling tasks, the child draws a line down the middle between the two guiding lines.

When children draw lines in the middle of a bounded path, they simultaneously compare the distance of their developing line with the boundaries and correct its direction. Chanelling tasks therefore reinforce visual-motor integration and fine motor control of hand and finger movements, and strengthen graphomotor, fine-motor and pre-writing skills and competences that will later play an important role in the development of writing and other specific fine-motor skills.

Worksheets and activities in this workbook

Activities in this workbook strengthen children’s visual-motor integration and basic graphomotor skills by asking children to draw paths between the guiding lines (in the middle of the provided paths). In some activities helping dotted lines are provided to help children with drawing.

Workbook contains 142 worksheets. Tasks difficulty increase throughout the workbook by increased complexity and number of paths.
